Monthly Update     25 July, 2009, 08:29 pm
Alright, here it is, my once a month update.

I have a few pair of socks for Akkol. Orange isn't my favorite color but the price was right. Hopefully the kids like it.

This is Interlacements Tiny Toes. I've never seen this stuff in stores. The colors are so deep and rich, yum. This one is the African Violet colorway. The yarn itself doesn't feel great but then I'm getting used to merino..

This is Lorna's Laces Shepherd Sock in the Mixed Berries colorway. I'm thinking LL's is my favorite yarn. It doesn't wear the best from my limited experience but it seems to work okay for me as I sit a lot. I may go down a needle size in the future but so far not a problem.

And yes, that is different carpeting. I've moved. I love it.

I finished an afghan. I honestly can't remember when I started it. I wasn't happy with the size as I was knitting it so I stalled for a long time. Once I took it off the needles it looked better. The weight of the piece made it look quite narrow but it isn't so long and skinny. Had I known I would have knit longer. Double stranded Lion Brand Pound of Love. Unfortunately I have almost two whole skeins left. Yikes, what am I gonna do with all that cream yarn?

One lone baby hat. I decided to put that big skein of yarn away while I was cleaning the living room so eventually there will be more.

The cat decided to help me wind some yarn. He actually wasn't making much of a mess so I let him be.

A few more pair of socks for Akkol. As you can see, I did manage to get the purply Cascade 220 into a ball.

Monthly Update, Take 2     25 May, 2009, 02:39 pm
Wow, twice in one month!

Here are some more socks for Akkol.

And another pair for myself. These were dyed by an Etsy seller. Yum.

I cleaned out my sock drawer and all my socks fit now :) At least for the time being..

I made some more baby hats. I really like this pattern, simple but adds something a little more interesting than ribbing.

A few pairs of socks for Mittens for Akkol. Good thing I like this color, I have a few more skeins of it.

These are Opal socks, I think it was the Rainforest collection, the Parrot color. To be honest though, I don't really like how these colors turned out. I liked the socks on the label better.

These socks were made from some yarn that was dyed to specs by Socks That Fit. I love the coloring.

Okay, this is embarassing. My sock collection takes up more than half of my top dresser drawer. I probably should just give in and clear that whole drawer out for socks. :)

Monthly Update     12 April, 2009, 08:13 pm
I've been busy knitting socks, big surprise. Here are some for Akkol

I have a few other pair done and one in progress so maybe we'll even get two updates this month. :) I also printed off the Rona shawl pattern and I have some yarn in mind for it. Just gotta wind it up and start.

March Update     15 March, 2009, 08:56 pm
Let's face it, the chances of me updating twice in one month are slim so here goes this month's update.

S'more baby hats, these will probably go to Online Angels unless they're still around when the hospital needs more hats.

Some socks for Kaz' orphanages. Good thing I stocked up on wool when I found it half off.

Some Happy Feet socks for me. I love this yarn. Soft, pretty, cheap, and machine washable. What more could a girl want? Well, I hope it wears well. It seemed loosely spun or something, easily split while I was knitting.

Happy New Year..hehe     24 February, 2009, 07:26 pm
It's a wonder I still remember how to post, huh?

I've been knitting a bit, just too lazy to post. The great news is the shawl I started in January of 2006 was finished this past weekend. Yay! I still need to block it but that may be a few more weeks..

So here's some pictures of what I've been up to.

Baby hats I knit for the hospital. They later received pom pons. Then they had plenty of hats so I had to stop :)

So then I went back to knitting socks for Kaz.

And I worked in some some socks for me.

This are from Knit Picks Felici. I think it is the Hummingbird Colorway.

This would be Regia something or other.

This is my first experience with Socks That Rock. Yum! It's the Romancing the Stone colorway. I forgot what pattern I used but I think it came from Knitty.

Hi! I live with my cat and a crabby parrotlet. Once in awhile I try to crochet but I find knitting much easier.
